Local Foods Network Productive

Posted

The Sitka Local Foods Network is a nonprofit that celebrates and encourages the growing, harvesting and producing of foods in Sitka.

It includes the summertime Sitka Farmers Market, which offers everything from local veggies to local crafts to local music. It’s hosted at the ANB Founders Hall, 235 Katlian Street.

Over the years, the network has supported a plethora of local-food-related initiatives, including the St. Peter’s Fellowship Farm (whose produce is sold at the Farmers Market), the Sitka Community Garden, Sitka Food Co-op, a Sitka Composting Project, Sitka Seafood Festival, Sitka Health Summit, education programs and a range of cooking and gardening classes.
